I Am On Mission.
I Am Christ Church.
One of our core values is missions. Whether saving to go overseas on a medical mission trip or simply praying for the people in our smartphone Contacts, the Christ Church family strives to follow the path that God sets before us and to truly be On Mission.
Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
Strong Families Care Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
A subsection of the Strong Hearts organization, the Center was founded by Christ Church in 2013 and is dedicated to orphan prevention. The center provides a safe, nurturing place for children during the day so their mothers are able to work. The children receive nutrition, education, and basic healthcare while families receive vocational training, financial advice, and parenting skills. It is dedicated to keeping families together and healthy. You can help by sponsoring a child, writing letters to the children, and/or participating in a regularly-scheduled Christ Church mission trip experience.
Opportunities to Serve Our Strategic Partners
Serving our neighbors in need is a call for all Christians. At Christ Church, that call is lived out particularly with our Strategic Mission Partners. These are organizations to which Christ Church tithes and serves with boots-on-the-ground. Currently, these organizations are:
Redeemer Lutheran Milwaukee - "Noon Run" Homeless Meal Ministry: Volunteer>>
Marquette students serve the Noon Run meal on a regular basis but when they are on break, volunteers are needed to fill in. This is where we come in. The meal is served daily except Saturdays and holidays and is often the only meal of the day for their guests. This is also the only meal offered to impoverished people anywhere in the area on Sundays; they have been serving about 100 people. This is a great opportunity for Groups or families to serve together. Children are welcome to serve with an adult.

Hephatha Lutheran Church - Strong Baby Sanctuary Volunteer>>
Christ Church is teaming up with other faith communities in setting babies, mothers, fathers and families as a top priority. As a Strong Baby Sanctuary, Hephatha Church opens their hearts, minds, and doors as a safe place of love, compassion, support and knowledge to the most vulnerable of God's children, giving them a chance at living a full and healthy life. At monthly Mother and Baby Gatherings, opportunities are offered through Bible study, educational speakers, lunch, and discussion time. Participants also have the opportunity to shop their Baby Food Pantry and Emporium. They plan to provide separate gatherings with similar opportunities for expectant women in the near future.

We have a “strategic partners first” attitude at Christ Church. There are many, many wonderful and even Christ-centered programs that need help. However, by choosing to invest in specific partners, Christ Church is able to develop more lasting, more meaningful, more impactful relationships. Therefore, we have a “strategic partners first” attitude that encourages people looking to serve to begin with these partnerships.
We have a “no fundraising” policy at Christ Church. As these are already strategic partners, we already pledge financially to support them as a church body, eliminating the need for fundraising for them. This protects the integrity of our resources and how we choose to use them together.
