Pastor Robert Suhr
After successfully renewing two congregations in Southeastern Wisconsin, Pastor Bob came to Christ Church in 1999. He is a graduate of Carthage College, Kenosha WI, and Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Paul, MN. He has been happily married for over 35 years to Jill, a 4th grade teacher in Mequon. Their eldest son, Daniel, works as an attorney at the capital in Madison. Andrew, their second son, joined the Christ Church team after finishing seminary and lives with his wife, Patti, in Cedarburg. Their daughter, Rachel, and her husband live in MN where she teaches music at an elementary school. Her husband, Mike, serves as a youth worker at St. John’s Church in Northfield.
Pastor Bob makes the Bible relevant to everyday life. As Senior Pastor, he continues to lead Christ Church toward becoming a fellowship that makes a real difference in the 21st century. He speaks of his ministry as "helping people discover the incredible dream and purpose God has for their lives."
Pastor Andrew Suhr
Pastor Andrew joined the Christ Church team in July of 2014, bringing a heart and passion for adult ministries. He enters into pastoral leadership after completing religious studies at Carthage College (Kenosha, WI) and Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN).
His desire is to see the church grow--grow in faith, love, and numbers as more people are brought deeper into participation with God’s redemptive narrative-- think big picture storyline. His biggest gifts are teaching and shepherding (people, not actual sheep).
Pastor Andrew is married to his beautiful wife Patti, who serves Christ as a social worker and college professor. She encourages his love of national parks and backcountry adventures (backpacking & canoeing); he is also an avid drinker/brewer of tea, coffee, and beer. Like, really avid. Embarrassingly so at times.
