At Christ Church we participate in communion every Sunday during worship services. We invite all adults who are seeking a deeper relationship with Christ to receive communion with us. We believe that Jesus’ body and blood are present in the bread and wine of Communion.
Students in 5th-8th grade should complete our Student Communion Class before participating in Communion during worship. This class is offered twice a year (winter & spring) and is followed by First Communion, taken the Sunday after the last class. The Winter class is designed to cover the same material in one Saturday, while the Spring class is broken into 4 Wednesday evening sessions. A parent is asked to attend the first and last session with their student.
Register for the upcoming Winter Communion Class - Saturday, January
Register for the upcoming Spring Communion Class - Wednesday, April
First Communion is taken the Sunday after a student completes the Student Communion Class.
Adult Communion Class
Adults and high schoolers who wish to understand Communion on a deeper level are invited to attend our Adult Communion Class. This one night class is offered each spring, generally during one of the evenings of the Student Communion Class.
At Christ Church, we believe in the importance of baptism and we encourage our children to experience God’s grace from infancy. If you or your child(ren) have not yet been baptized, we invite you to do so at any age.
We rejoice with you in this special time of your family’s life and we look forward to encouraging and supporting you.
